Combining illustration and graphic design
skills
Estelle Carol adapted her training as a fine artist, painter
and silk-screen printmaker into doing electronic illustration for brochures,
magazines, posters, textbooks and websites. Although it's unusual for
a graphic designer to also be an illustrator, this combination of skills
is perfect for working with labor unions and nonprofits.
Stock art
Since Estelle owns the copyrights on most her custom illustrations,
she can resell them as stock art at affordable
rates.
Who decides the concept for the illustration?
That's flexible. You provide the concept or we can develop several concept
alternatives for your review.
Affordable rates
We present a detailed price quote before any illustration
job begins. Our rate for nonprofits and unions is $50 per hour.
Long-distance relationships
Working in different cities is not a problem by phone, fax and e-mail.
We send "work- in-progress" illustrations as Acrobat files
that can be opened and printed from any computer using a free utility
called Acrobat
Reader.
Copyright
Our illustration rates are reasonable because we generally retain the
copyright on the art. For an extra fee, we will
sell
an exclusive copyright.
We invite you to talk to our satisfied clients.
If you need references, we will gladly provide you with names and contact
information for our clients. We do most of our illustration for magazines
and text book publishers. A list of union and nonprofit clients include:
